A well rounded and experienced staff will be assisting players both on and off the ice.

Kip Miller

Kip Miller played college hockey for Michigan State University where he lead
the team in scoring and was the Hobey Baker Award winner his senior year.
He was drafted by the Quebec Nordiques(NHL) in the 4th round of the1987 entry
draft. Kip has had a successful 16 year professional career which includes 12
NHL seasons with more than 450 NHL games. He is currently playing for the Chicago
Wolves(AHL)

Tom Newton

Tom Newton played his college hockey for Bowling Green State University where
he registered 140 points during his career. Tom began his coaching career at BGSU(CCHA)
as the Graduate Assistant Coach and soon went on to be the Head Coach at Kent State.
Tom moved on to coach Western Michigan University(CCHA) where he was an Assistant and
later Associate Head Coach before taking on the Assistant Coaching and recruiting
responsibilities for Michigan State University where he has remained for
the last 15 years.

 

Ryan Bencurik

Ryan Bencurik is a Chicago, IL native who played his Junior A hockey for the Omaha
Lancers(USHL), Des Moines Buccaneers(USHL), and the Lincoln Stars(USHL). Ryan
went on to play Division I college hockey for the University of Nebraska -
Omaha. After his college career Ryan played professionally in the UHL and the
CHL. He is currently the assistant coach for the Lincoln Stars(USHL)

 

Rick Berens

Rick Berens is one of the all time impact players for the University of Denver
Men's Hockey Team. He captured the WCHA's Rookie of the year in his 1st season
with the Pioneers with an astonishing 28 goals, 20 assists for a total 48 points.
In his 4 years at Denver Rick tallied a total of 94G-86A for a college total 180 points.
Rick was also selected 6th overall by the Quebec Nordiques in the 1989 NHL Supplemental
draft. Rick went on to play professionally for the Michigan Falcons in the Colonial League
where he tallied 74 points in his rookie season.

 

Matt Noga

Matt Noga played Junior A hockey for the Kalamazoo K-Wings(NAJHL)
and the North Iowa Huskies(USHL). While with the Huskies he was a 2 time
all-star as well as team MVP and league MVP. Matt was selected to the Junior
National team and won a silver medal in 1996. He then received a Division I
scholarship to St. Cloud State University(WCHA) where he led the team in
scoring in his sophomore and junior year. Matt went on to play professionaly
for the Richmond Renegades(ECHL) where had 43 points in 47 games as a rookie.
Matt also played professionally for the Baton Rouge Kingfish(ECHL) and the
Cincinnati Cyclones(ECHL).

 

Kris Koski

Kris Koski played his Junior A with the Danville Wings(NAHL) and the Soo
Indians(NAHL) where he totalled 27 goals and 21 assists for a total of 48
points. Kris then went on to play for the Michigan State Spartans(CCHA). He
is now the Assistant Coach and strength and conditioning coach of the Chicago
Steel(USHL)
